Abstract
This project focuses on developing an intelligent digital system which would allow easy processing, storing and retrieval of medical documents. Medical documents such as prescription, lab reports, hospital bills will not have to be sort individually, but instead will automatically sort and store into a database in a more meaningful manner. At its heart, the system integrates three fundamental technologies: LLMs (Large Language Models) to interpret and understand the content of the medical documents (categorizing and summarizing their content), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) which permits a user to pose questions in natural language and receive accurate and relevant answers derived from source documents, and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which enables extraction of text from image-based files. The value of the system is that it converts messy and fragmented medical data into easily accessible, valuable insights. Doctors and patients are able to pose a simple question in natural language and obtain useful information without going through countless documents. This user interface, based on black and green colors for clear presentation of data, has been designed for ultimate ease of use.
