In the article the concept of representativeness of the statistical data frame is discussed. Also the statistical measure of representativeness and a method for the quantitative assessment of the degree of representativeness of the general population are proposed. To demonstrate the techniques and methods of application, we consider a case of identifying the amount of statistically reliable sampling in the analysis of polymer composite surface’s SEM-images.
