The paper presents simulation of the processes of starting, operating and stopping a spherical nuclear reactor. A software package was developed. This makes it possible to visualize reactor’s dynamics and evaluate its characteristics. Mathematical models describing the behavior of the reactor in various operating modes were investigated. Key physical processes were analyzed, such as neutron generation and diffusion, heat transfer, and control rod dynamics. Parameters affecting the stability and safety of the system's operation were identified. Methods for using the model for design, analysis and training in the field of nuclear energy are identified.
