Abstract
With the quick rising of AI, there is a few differences from higher education on how people use teaching, learning, and studying materials. Conventional instruction is hard to cater for students’ diverse learning demands. Thus AI-assisted learning systems have been attracted more and more attention as the tools that can help to improve the teaching’s efficiency, give more personalized support and help with the decision-making with the education data analytics. This article makes a general overview of the AI-assisted learning systems for college students. It is about some popular Technologies like intelligent tutor system, learning analytics, GAN etc and talks about how they function in the education platform. The application areas commonly found such as personalized tutoring, automated assessment, academic support service and the findings related to learning outcomes, student engagement. Review AI-assisted learning systems during adoption also faces difficulties. These problems include data privacy, algorithmic bias, system transparency, and ethical governance, etc., and the limitations and concerns of these problems are pointed out. Based on the above observations, this paper comes to a conclusion in the end, pointing out the possible research directions and emphasizing the importance of responsible and evidence-based implementation of AI-assisted learning systems in higher education.
