The paper presents a modified FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method to assess reliability of the components that make up a wrench type 2145: MAX Impactol TM Driver Ingersoll Rand Company. This case concerns the analysis of reliability in conditions, when full service data is not known. The aim of the study is to determine the weakest element in the design of the tool.
